Waiho i te toipoto, kaua i te toiroa
Let us keep close together, not wide apart

Pou CaRE (Communities at Risk of Exclusion) aims to address the inequity faced by communities that can face exclusion from participation in society; focusing on the rights of Disabled, Rainbow, Refugee and Asylum Seeker communities and including those that lack voice on issues that affect them, e.g. those in the justice system.

Funding priorities

  1. Social Cohesion and Inclusion for communities at risk of exclusion

Addressing Mis/Dis information, anti-racism initiatives and disarming the weaponisation of race relations, initiatives that make the impacts of racism, other forms of bias and exclusion visible.

  2. Collective Action to advance equity within communities at risk of exclusion

Focusing on creating and supporting the collaborative environments that allow for movement building, coalitions and the networks needed for systematic change.

  3. Connecting, supporting, and uplifting diverse change leaders

Invest in change leaders we are currently supporting who are at the forefront of systems change through collective training and education.
