Pou Whānau encompasses Children, Young People, and their Whānau (Community of Interest) with a strong focus on whānau-centred initiatives that are community-led, aim to advance equity for the 10% of the hardest to reach, and address systematic issues and barriers.


Funding Priorities

  1. Whānau-centred empowerment initiatives creating transformational change
    Focusing on those most disadvantaged and excluded

  2. Social Justice for Children, Young People and their Whānau
    Continuing to support advocacy for young people to change biases, discrimination, and injustice

  3. Supporting the ability for self-determination through access to resources
    Focusing on changing systems around adequate income, access to resources and skills that provide further opportunities
