đŸ“· An Evening of Celebration: Farewelling Iain Hines, and the launch of “Giving for Good - The History of the J R McKenzie Trust”

Farewell To Iain

J R McKenzie Trust recently had the pleasure of celebrating some important milestones. Our Evening of Celebration took place in early July 2022 and saw us officially farewell long-serving Director of the Peter McKenzie Project (PMP) and former Executive Director of the Trust, Iain Hines, and provide an opportunity for the many people who count him as a friend and colleague to acknowledge him.

Giving for Good: The history of the J R McKenzie Trust

Our Evening of Celebration also gave us the opportunity to unveil ‘Giving for Good: The history of the J R McKenzie Trust’, a record of the giving legacy of the McKenzie family over 80 years. Jenny Gill, who has a long and distinguished history with both the Trust and the philanthropy sector in general, provided some insights into what can be achieved when innovative approaches are adopted in the pursuit of long-term solutions. Sir Roy’s daughter, Robyn Gibson, spoke of the importance of private philanthropy and shared some wonderful family anecdotes. It was a special moment to see her cut the official ribbon and declare the book launched.
